Tripura chief minister Manik Saha meet Prime Minister Modi In New Delhi, various development issues of the Northeastern state were discussed. On June 27, Mr. Saha met Mr. Modi at the New Parliament House in New Delhi.

“It was a pleasure to meet Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji at New Parliament House, New Delhi. I also conveyed the enthusiasm of #Tripura brothers and sisters for Modi 3.0. We also discussed various development issues to fulfill our commitments #ViksitBharat,” Mr. Saha Post on X.

“During the meeting, the Chief Minister requested Prime Minister Modi to build a new railway line from Bellonia in Tripura to Finni in Bangladesh, connecting India and Bangladesh through the Maitri Bridge in South Tripura, building 15 new Eklavya Model Boarding Schools, MBB Airport announced at Agartala International Airport,” an official press release read.

“The Chief Minister also urged Prime Minister Modi to establish an Agar International Trade and Research Center at Agartala and connect the Sabrum-Ramgarh-Chittagong and Sabrum-Ramgarh-Mongla routes,” the release stated. Incorporate agreed routes for transit and transhipment.

Saha also called Indian Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to approve two more Indian reserve battalions and release funds under security-related expenditures.

The Prime Minister met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and requested him to establish Sainik schools on Assam Rifles land in Triamulla in Howai district and Udaipur in Gumati district. He also met Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda and demanded setting up of an AIIMS-like institution in the state.
