For example, when you click a link in Gmail and open Chrome alloy From an in-app tab, you can minimize the browser by clicking the chevron next to the “x” in the toolbar or the close button. This turns the open tab into a compact floating picture-in-picture window that you can drag anywhere on the screen.

You can keep the original app minimized while using it, and when you’re ready to view its contents, simply click on the floating window to return the tab to its original size.
