Coimbatore Review – The Hindu

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Coimbatore Zone has launched a series on digital marketing strategies for its member industries and institutions. The forum will be headed by former chairman K. Senthil Ganesh.

Inaugurating the forum, former CII Coimbatore district president Prashanth S said the two-month program brought together three different groups: industry practitioners, students and teachers, a CII press release said. It will have six workshops and interactive modules.

CII Coimbatore Zone Chairman G Radhakrishnan said that Coimbatore has recently gained significant national and international visibility and is showing steady momentum in various industries, especially the higher education sector. He said that the Indian Industrial Industry had recently set up a strategy group for MSMEs.

Scholarship distribution

Recently, the Federal Bank Homis Memorial Foundation Scholarship 2023-24 was awarded to the eligible students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.

Speaking on the programme, Dean (Agriculture) N. Venkatesa Palanisamy said the scholarship cell of the university provides scholarships to needy students through various organizations, a release said. A total of 39 students received scholarships from this event.

Eqbal Manoj, senior vice president and country head of the branch, said nine students of TNAU received Rs 1 lakh each through the foundation last year.

Entrepreneurs visit

Recently, 24 young entrepreneurs from Sircilla, Telangana visited Tirupur and had an interactive meeting with the head of Tirupur Exporters Association. Their visit was organized by the Telangana Textile Department to enable entrepreneurs to learn how to start a knitting unit.
